Descriptions and Column width

Hello:

I've got two questions for you today.
When I am importing data into a client's invoice and I only have the code, quantity, and price, how can I get the computer to include the description of the article?  Currently the program leaves the description column blank.

This question is a little less urgent.  When I open the anagrafica artiocli, how can I make the column widths set, so we don't have to widen them each time we open the inventory list.  (Basically our codes are longer than 4 digits, so to see the entire code, we have to widen the columns.)
